Great everyday classic 66,626 miles & FSH Lovely condition & specification
Very often now people are referring to the 107 series of SL's as Pagodas, earlier today someone did just that when describing having seen me in this very car and its a term we are hearing more often in conjunction with what have hitherto been colloquially known as the "Bobby Ewing" SL's
The term Pagoda is not a factory thing at all, it came about becuase of the pretty roof line on the hard top of the 113 SL. As the hard top roof line on these is entirely reminiscent of that I think it's new name works.... So here we have a 500SL Pagoda
In all seriousness the 107 SL has really come into its own in recent times and locating good examples, especially of the sought after V8s, is becoming more and more difficult and costly with values ever increasing
Our car here is in really marvellous condition and drives just superbly well, her mileage of just over 66,000 is original and complimented by a full service history which adds a codified confirmation of what one experiences when driving her - she's fantastic
Her engine is a known entity and characteristically is a fairly laid back V8 with plenty of power if you want it but more than happy to sit at low revs and pottle around seamlessly, she fires up on the first turn of the engine ever time and purrs along really nicely
In fact driving her reaffirms to me that the 500 is the one to have as the engine suits the way the car handles so nicely and further enhances the feeling that the whole car was forged from one billet of the finest Germanic steel as this car really does drive perfectly
Offered in the ideal specification of Midnight Blue over Cream leather interior. Cosmetically she is in excellent condition, her interior is almost without fault, only some expected wear on the drivers seat bolster and her exterior shows beautifully with all the chrome trim tidily presented and rubbers soft, supple & black framing her deep blue colour
As mentioned she has a full service history with records of her mileage dating back to 1988 in the service booklet and all invoices & MoT's going back to 1991
Very highly specified when new with heated seats, A/C, headlight wash wipe, sunder glass, electrically adjustable passenger door mirror, cruise control et al she was delivered to a Mr A. Adey of Great Missenden on the 12th September 1986
Since then she has had only very few keepers amassing a modest total of 5 keepers in her lifetime
Coming equipped with a very useful wind deflector even with the top down she feels as sturdy and solid as any SL we've ever come across
