Fresh bare metal respray

Another amazing example of these superb classic's. Sourced by ourselves for one of our most regular clients, the brief was to find a car with unquestionable provenance and in wonderful condition

The car we found, SBH36965, only had 3 former keepers, the most recent (known to us) had owned her for over 20 years and covered only 12,000 miles in that time with an annual service never missed and anything required always attended to

Supplied new by Lex Mead Maidenhead to Mr E. Michelsen of Cobham she was specified with a few optional extras such as non-standard paint (originally Scots Pine with double Gold Fine lines), rear picnic tables, fire extinguisher, adjustable passenger door mirror, compartment in rear armrest with hinged lid, top roll in Dark Green hide, Knee roll & console in Tan. White wall tyres were a simply a no cost option

Once we secured her she went straight into our workshops for a complete bare metal respray, we decided to keep a nod to the original specification in colour choice electing for Scots Pine to the bottom and Pewter for the top as its a similar hue to the original fine lines

Of course all new windscreen rubbers, door seals etc were fitted at this time as well

After then she was fully serviced by our team and the last touch was a brand new set off lambs wool over rugs before the new owner was to enjoy her

Over the course of the next year he covered very minimal mileage, just under 1000 miles, and she stayed cocooned in his heated garage whilst not on the road

She has just returned to us for her annual service, which included re-gassing the now icy cold air-conditioning, and is happily now available for someone new to enjoy

We do really quite like a T2 and this example is certainly one of the best we've seen
