1952 Land Rover Series 1 Completely restored Left Hand Drive
Always nice to have a Landie with us, especially when it's an early version, and likely one of the last 80inch wheelbases made
This chap was originally supplied in Spain and stayed there until recently, when brought back to the UK. Likely one of the first ever sent to Spain, and definitely one of the last survivors!
Coming with soft top and hard top (photographed) she is in brand new condition - as the photographs show
As a 1952 model she benefits from the upgraded 1997cc engine (as apposed to the original 1595cc 50bhp version) and also the year before the permanent four by four system was similarly upgraded to a selectable two or four wheel drive and the headlamps were now 7" items, not covered with the front grill
Better for seeing in the dark - quite handy that upgrade
In fact the "new face" of the Land Rover was kept for 19 years, until 1969 when the lights had to be fitted into the front wings, for safety's sake
Anyhow, very unusual to have such an early car, in brand new condition and with an original hard top too
