2000 Range Rover 4.0 County - 54.000 miles only
A really lovely example of these soon to be recognised fabulous Range Rovers
We have been fans for many years - I had them new in period and have one at our holiday home for the last 3 years
More sophisticated than the Classic we all know and love, they also have far superior interior space and are much quieter to use on the road too
Our 4.0 litre County has all the upgrades you'd want with air conditioning, electric sunroof, an upgrade to a Pioneer with USB port, aux audio port and Bluetooth connectivity for calls and music, side steps, tow hook with electrics, plus load space cover and Land Rover rubber over mats
Servicing has been carried out by the same official Land Rover dealers throughout except for the most recent service last year - and yes before you scream what about this year, we are about to service her with our own factory trained technicians, who have all of the official Land Rover diagnostic equipment, using correct Land Rover parts
For the record she has quite clearly never had a dog inside, so no hairs and no smells either, (makes a nice change), been cared for extremely well (see notes on servicing above and list of services below), has just had an MoT with no advisories, has 5 brand new tyres fitted, the air suspension works seemlessly - evidence the photo's taken with her set to the get in & out of the car easily position - a full book pack with all of the papers accompanying this and 2 sets of keys and remotes
Just for the record, the date of first registration is December 2000
which brings it just inside the cheaper RFL of £230 per year, which increased
for vehicles registered after 1st March 2001
She is finished in the iconic Range Rover Epsom Green with
grey leather interior and her history folder reads like a text book example of how a range Rover should be cared for:
12/06/01, 5432-miles @ Ribblesdale Landrover (Settle, Yorkshire)
05/12/01, 9597-miles @ Ribblesdale Landrover (Settle, Yorkshire)
14/12/02, 16985-miles @ Ribblesdale Landrover (Settle, Yorkshire)
05/12/03, 23810-miles @ Ribblesdale Landrover (Settle, Yorkshire)
07/11/04, 28974-miles @ Ribblesdale Landrover (Settle, Yorkshire)
09/11/05, 34329-miles @ Ribblesdale Landrover (Settle, Yorkshire)
20/11/06, 37957-miles @ Ribblesdale Landrover (Settle, Yorkshire)
28/11/07, 40904-miles @ Ribblesdale Landrover (Settle, Yorkshire)
10/11/08, 42833-miles @ Ribblesdale Landrover (Settle, Yorkshire)
09/11/09, 43791-miles @ Ribblesdale Landrover (Settle, Yorkshire)
10/07/14, 50114-miles @ Crook Brothers Land Rover (Preston, Lancashire) new front discs too
From inspecting the underside of the car itself and also inside the engine compartment, inner wings and bulk head too, it has quite clearly been treated to an application of protective waxing, such that it will take many years and more salt, than the local authorities can afford to throw on the roads before rust even considers there is a chance of survival on this County
Internally the leather in completely unmarked, the carpets similarly and the original headlining is unstained and shows no signs of drooping whatsoever
In essence this car, for a 15 year old with less than 4.000 miles a year is absolutely, well to coin a well used motor trade term, mint
So nice is she that my wife requested we use this as opposed to anything else available for our trip to the delightful Chantilly, this last weekend
As you would expect the only notable thing about the journey there and back, was the amazing comfort these very spacious Range Rover's offer - the extra space afforded against the previous Classic is quite remarkable
Truly one of the very best P38's to be found anywhere and in our eyes, these are the next Range Rover to follow - an earlier "Classic" version in this condition would be more than twice the price
