1971 Mercedes Benz 280SE 3.5/ 4.5 Coupe - Left Hand Drive

We really love these elegant coach built coupes - all produced in the Sindelfingen factory, seperately from the normal production cars, they do feel as if hewn from a solid billet

This delightful example was simply too hard to resist - being in such wonderful colours and to an excellent specification and condition

Supplied originally to our friends on the other side of the pond she spent her life in California with a careful owner who did really covet her

Finished in duck egg blue with cream hide and matching roof she does look an absolute picture, especially when the sun shines down onto her

There is of course power steering and automatic transmission, electric windows all round, beige hide interior (re trimmed front seats), electric sunroof, wonderful wood veneers (re polished to perfection) and last but certainly not least factory air conditioning

The engine has been uprated to 4.5 litre bottom end so she has real get up and go and an easy gait at higher cruising speeds

If we still have her next summer (I somehow doubt it.....) she is definately joining us for a little European tour
