1991 Range Rover CSK - Restored Condition
The rarest of all 3 door classic derivatives the CSK was built to commemorate 20 years of Range Rover production
The 3 door bodyshell was reintroduced, together with an improved suspension set up, featuring front and rear anti roll bars and sports shock absorbers
Roll stiffness was increased by 25%
The standard 3.9 litre V8 engine was re-chipped and power was now 185bhp, making the CSK the fastest Range Rover ever produced at the time - a sort of GTi version if you like
The interior, including door trims, were in tan hide and american walnut adorned the fascia, centre console and door armrests
Electric windows, sunroof and door mirrors together with sundym glass and air conditioning finished off the luxury package
Production was limited to only 200 cars and it has been recently estimated that less than 100 are still on the road
This example is one of the very last, being number 192
The extensive history file notes that there was a further chip upgrade in 1996 from Brodie Brittain Racing, both differential's were upgraded in 1997 to 2.83:1 ratio and at the same time the top end of the engine was rebuilt, with standard camshaft and lifters, so whilst performance is enhanced, it's not to a crazy level - of course there are free flow manifolds
There has been very little use in the last 10 years so when we bought her out of a collection it was necessary to carry out a full mechanical check over and a cosmetic restoration
As you can see from the pictures she is now as sharp as any you will find, having been repainted, wheels refurbished, new rear tailgate, new headlining, engine bay detailed and the finishing touch being the retrimmed front seats
This is surely now one of the best CSK's in existence
