1992 Bentley Continental Convertible LHD (Glass rear window model) - 7.000 miles only
An immaculate example of these extremely rare late series Bentley drop heads
We have known this vehicle for the past many years and have looked after her for the last owner - a New York based business man
In fact during our tenure he has not had the opportunity to drive her and the mileage has only increased by a few hundred miles each year
The same was the case when it was previously stored in Monaco for many years also - we have been in contact with the storage company there who have verified this too
Prior to registration in Monaco she was registered to him at his other French home in Mougins and before that was UK registered at his home in Belgravia, London
He was the one and only owner, having bought her through, funnily enough, a mutual contact of ours via Weybridge Automobiles of Surrey in February 1992 making this one of the very first of the culmination of the Continental Convertible
Finished in quite delightfully restrained colours of Georgian Silver with dark grey hood and light grey hide piped in dark grey
During our time looking after this beauty we have stored her in our own premises and serviced her as and when required - obviously on a time basis rather than mileage
This includes but is not exclusive to an hydraulic service, new accumulators, rear gas springs, ride control height valves, brake overhaul, fuel pumps, overhaul of the self closing hood operation and etc
This the last version of the Continental Convertible, known as the MKIV on the Rolls-Royce Corniche version, is the only Bentley Continental of this type with the fully self opening / closing hood which has a mechanism to secure the hood to the header rail hydraulically and with a glass rear window too - very, very few were made
On the road this Bentley, as they say, drives along ever so gently and attracts admiring glances at all times
A most unusual opportunity, all the more so being LHD, with just one owner and such a low mileage
