1971 Rover 3.5

Story and History

1971 Rover 3.5 Coupe - 29.000 miles ONLY

This fantastic example is in just wonderfully original condition

In the complete history file there is the original book pack with instruction manuals, service booklet and the usual assorted Manufacturers bumph together with the original supply invoice from Newmil Service Station, of New Milton, confirming that the specification now is exactly that as it had when new on the 1st January 1971

Options fitted were a Laminated Windscreen, Two-Tone paint finish Admiralty Blue & Silver Birch Top and Seat Belts (Automatic) - the period description for the then new Inertia Reel system, still in use today

The first service was carried out at the supplying dealer in March 1971 at 1.113 miles, the cost for which was an earth shattering £2:24

The original owner, Mr Spiller, kept her until 1996 at which stage she had travelled 12.878 miles, as evidenced by her MoT from the time and also her service bill

Incidentally, talking of MoT's, everyone issued since 1975 is in the history file together with every Tax Disc until 1997 (except for 1975 & 1976)

In 1996 she was purchased by the renowned Bramley Garage and sold to her second owner, Mr Johnson of Horsham who kept her until 1999 when Bramley Garage again took her into their posession (15.165 miles)

In fact Bramley have sold her a couple of times, as have Hurst Park Automobiles, both of whom are renowned for exceptional quality cars

I have seen many other examples of these lovely Coupes, indeed I have owned some myself and this is the most original and unmolested that I have come across
