1969 MGC GT

Story and History

1969 MGC GT - 15.000 miles since Complete Nut and Bolt Restoration

An immaculate example of these excellent and very under rated British sports cars

She was restored with great care and attention to detail in 1990 / 91 and has been coveted since, having had many upgrades in more recent times by MG Motorsport - uprated suspension with Spax adjustable shock absorbers, power assisted steering (transforms the car completely), Luminition Magnetronic electronic ignition system, uprated cylinder head and most recently a 5 speed gearbox

It has to be said that she is the most complete driving example that we have ever come across

Originally supplied through University Motors, London (their sticker still remains in the rear screen) she has a Heritage Certificate and a complete listing of all previous owners

When restored she was kept in her original colours of Mineral Blue with black hide and now she sits on Minilite style centre lock alloys and has a MotoLita steering wheel - pleasantly the original wheel is still with the car, as are the replaced original lever arm rear shock absorbers

Since 1991 when her restoration was completed there has been a meticulous log kept of her usage and miles covered, listing any works or checks carried out (fluids checked, steering greased etc) and together with this there is a similar log of all works undertaken during the restoration (exhaustive) and photographs of the body work restoration too

As good an MGC as we have come across
