A very unusual Silver Shadow II, this one owned by the Hamlyn family

Baron Hamlyn started the Hamyln publishing company and Lady Hamlyn graduated as a fashion designer from the Royal College of Art and then onto head the design departments for Cresta Silks and then Debenhams !

Both were bestowed with the CBE by the way - a true power couple

No wonder that this Rolls-Royce was such a special example with specific paintwork, the white everflex roof covering, tan leather for the top roll and knee roll too

The original Motorola car phone still sits in the cubby between the front seats, so it could be used from either front seat, and more over from the rear seat should the Chauffeur be driving them

All servicing was carried out by Rolls-Royce approved dealers - the factory service centre in London until 1985, at which point servicing was carried out by S P Broughton's of Cheltenham until 1997. Thereafter, a well known specialist service centre continued the regular maintenance

In 2021 the Silver Shadow was eventually sold, since when the owner has spent significant amounts with our friends at Frank Dale & Stepsons - many, many thousands !

As well as regular maintenance various upgrades have been added to the specification - nice new seatbelts, both front and rear, in matching tan, front seat head restraints, larger door mirrors (passenger one being electrically operated from the original wand for the drivers door - nice feature), all veneers have been removed and polished, a Pioneer touch screen stereo with Apple Car play (aligns with your modern phone) with new speakers, and a battery cut out switch for storage purposes

Regularly used the mileage since purchase in 2021 has increased by 10.000 - and having driven her for photography I can confirm that this is one of the best driving Silver Shadow's we have had the pleasure of using
