Few Defenders have been reimagined with the style, elegance and sheer sense of occasion achieved by this bespoke Defender 110 “Beach Runner” - a ground-up 2023/2024 rebuild commissioned to evoke the charm and sophistication of a classic Riva, but translated into a car; long summer evenings, unhurried, barefoot adventures.

This isn't a rough-and-ready utility vehicle. It is a fully capable machine but built with complete style and taste. Even the radio system is the same you'd find in a boat - not a car!!

This is a linen shirts, cargo jackets kinda car, for those whose weekends are spent for pleasure!

At its heart lies the classic V8 petrol engine, giving the 110 the smooth, effortless surge that partners perfectly with its relaxed, Riviera-toned brief. Beneath it sits a fully galvanised chassis, ensuring longevity and structural integrity for years to come, while power steering and seating for eight make it as comfortable and practical as it is stylish.

Inside, the transformation is like a Savile Row suit.

A completely bespoke interior finished in water buffalo leather first hits you in the nose - the smell is incredible! The texture and hand-trimmed wood throws hints to the day boats of the 1950s and '60s.

And while the aesthetic is timeless, the comfort is entirely modern.

A premium JL Audio system with BLAM speakers throughout, discreetly integrated Bluetooth, and exceptional sound quality give the cabin a level of ambience and musicality seldom found in any Defender, let alone one that still looks so authentic. It's the same principle as a Riva: elegance first, luxury always, but never at the expense of atmosphere.

Presented in immaculate condition, low miles, the car has been hardly driven since the rebuild was completed last year and remains in impeccable condition. We only got it because the owner is relocating overseas - presenting a genuine opportunity to acquire a one-off, hand-built Defender to levels we rarely come across.
