1987 Mercedes Benz 420 SL - FMBSH
We've been trying to get hold of this excellent 420SL for quite some time now
The last owner, who has many other classic cars (Ferrari 575 manual etc), bought this from our friends at Silver Arrows when only 40.000 miles had been covered, nearly 15 years ago, and since then just another 10.000 miles have been added
During his ownership he has lavished £20.000 on maintenance with Official Mercedes outlets - in fact the service book prior to his ownership evidences that this 420 has only been serviced by Official dealers since new
The original book pack and tool kit remain with the car as well as many invoices, all MoT's since 1998 and tax discs since 2001
Presenting in immaculate condition the original specification was nearly all boxes ticked on the options list when new, unusually for in those days even though very expensive, these luxury grand tourers were poorly specified - even a radio was still an option
Driving her nowadays one finds the optional rear seats, which fold down to make an extra luggage deck if required, fire extinguisher, leather interior and most importantly air conditioning as well as switchable automatic gearbox, cruise control electric windows, tinted glass, hard and soft tops etc etc
A premier example in superb condition and not to be confused with any ordinary, less well kept examples
