2000 Bristol Blenheim III - previously sold by us
We do like our Bristol's, as does any car enthusiast of course, and the later versions, whilst not the prettiest, are probably the best driving and specified versions - which is why we have sold quite a few
Only a handful of these hand built Bristols were ever produced - Mr Crook told me about 26 or 30 rolled out of the factory in the end
There is no motorcar to have such lightweight bodywork and the doors shut beautifully, and yet with a solid thunk - really under-rated motorcar we feel
This particular example was sold by us 2 times before and used by the last owner often but not all the time, kept in a garage when he wasn't using it - the owner prior to us becoming intimate, (a Pharmacist from Germany) bought her from Bristol themselves
Maintenance has been kept up perfectly, as the history folder records, then and since new.
With a magnificent specification you have the best of both worlds - modern conveniences and old school charm and hand built individualism
Air conditioning, electric sun roof, electric seats, windows and mirrors, sumptuous hides everywhere in the interior, all hand finished, an automatic transmission with 4 speeds and an overdrive for top (giving super long legged cruising ability), encouraging use of the cruise control and a super stereo with Sat/Nav, parking sensors front and rear, battery cut out switch too, cup holders - got it?
The paintwork is sharp and shiny, in a brilliant metallic blue with a hue of purple in the sunlight (sounds awful but is fabulous actually) and the interior is immaculate in light grey hide with wonderful walnut veneers - again hand finished and applied
On the road, and I don't think this has a sports exhaust, yet strangely this particular Blenheim has a really rorty exhaust note and sounds completely wonderful, with a really basso V8 thrum thumping out from those 5.9 litres
A really characterful and useful Blenheim III here, perfect for daily use, continental touring or out and about in town - we love them
