1978 Bentley Corniche II - 1 of only 7 produced

Bentley made but 7 of these series II Corniche 2 door fixed head coupes and this is a most exceptional example, and of one of our very favourite cars - superb elegance and as the last of line series, Bentley had just about got it right

I have known this lovely car since the 1990's and always enjoyed using her for she sits securely on the road, with supreme style and whisks along in supreme silence, the engine and gearbox being of the nicest I have ever had the pleasure to use

In more recent times we have carried out much work on the Corniche, for the previous owner was a real enthusiast, who was not shy of looking after his many cars generously, and she really is a corker - refinished wood veneers, re-trimmed and re-stuffed front seats and armrests, major service work, overhauled glass sunroof with new tilt and slide mechanism so that performance now, is nigh on faultless

The last owner to whom we supplied her last Spring also uprated her stereo for a new touch screen unit, mounted within the fascia - the original radio unit is also supplied so that she still retains all of her originally supplied equipment

As would be expected she comes complete with both small and large tools, the original book pack, service voucher booklets and a complete history folder, validating her 77.000 miles from new with works in recent years carried out by ourselves or Jack Barclay Ltd

The pinnacle of John Blatchley's many designs (he was head of design for this project) the Corniche saloon represents some of his most elegant work and the series II, of which only 7 were Bentley versions, are perhaps the most desirable
