1996 Range Rover Classic Vogue SEa 25th Anniversary Edition 17.000 miles only
We could have the ultimate incarnation of the Classic Range Rover here
With just 17.000 miles since new, a full history and known to us for many years, this has to be the ultimate 'book end' for an early 'A' chassis series or even, should you be lucky enough, a Velar
Supplied originally from our dear friend, and owner of Stratstone of Mayfair, the inimitable James Smillie Esq
Predictably James sold not just one of the 25th Anniversary Edition, but four and ours was the 9th of the series to be produced and was the very last to be registered - confirmed to us by the Historical Register of these special edition vehicles
Understandably for such an exceptional vehicle, there have been some very serious collectors of our car;
The owner of a very well known distillery in Scotland
A family member of a national supermarket chain
A famous antiques dealer in St James's London
Latterly a farmer who has a collection over 30 Range Rover's
The most respected engine specialist, John Eales, has attended to the motor with his Sport heads with larger valves (41.5 & 37mm) ported and enlarged with JE fast road camshaft and followers which delivers a gain of around 20bhp (ie 200hp now)
He also, prudently, improved the suspension & brakes as well, with Koni adjustable gas shock absorbers, stainless steel exhaust system and EBC front brake disc
These works were undertaken at 11.500 miles and all is very nicely run-in with superb road manners
She interior is unmarked and everything feels and smells like new. The doors open and close with a soft clunk, the gearbox is seem less and the engine noise with the stainless exhaust is muted whilst you are aware of the slight increase in ooommph
Against a fully restored car from the Factory wouldn't this be a better bet.......???
What's not to like - and when will there be a better one
POA as she is very expensive!!
