1980 Ferrari 308 GTB - Dry sump version 49.000 miles only
Along with a few other 1970's and 1980's sports cars these wonderful "baby" Ferrari's have shot up in value over the last couple of years
No wonder really for they look gorgeous and perform in a similar manner too
This original UK example has covered under 50.000 miles since new and suprisingly is 1 of only 211 steel bodied examples produced for the UK market
Exactly how many remain is unclear
These desirable early examples also had dry sump lubrication (went to wet sump in 1981) and a nice stack of Weber carburettors throwing fuel into the combustion chambers in copious quantities too
Originally supplied by HR Owen, of Mayfair, London W1, to a Computer Company in Baker Street W1, and finished in the most desirable colour combination of Rosso Corsa with tan interior these superb sporting Ferrari's had the benefit of air conditioning too (albeit only puffing a gentle breeze of cold air)
Complete with the original tool roll, service history booklet, instruction manual and wallet there is also a copious history folder with many invoices and bills together with MoT certificates going back to 1984
Often specified with the deep front chin spoiler, as is this chap, and also the larger Cromodora Magnesium alloys with low profile tyres making the looks of this 308 as good as it gets
Capable of 150mph and 0 - 60 mph in around 6 seconds, even today they are swift, stylish and represent one of the best car designs of the 1970's
