1979 MG BGT

Story and History

1979 MG BGT - 21.750 miles only

A remarkable example in completely brilliant condition

We bought this car for one of our sons 4 years ago when 14.000 miles had been travelled

He has added the next 7.000 miles without a hiccup

A comprehensive history folder accompanies the car and we were most fortunate to have an executive of the MG owners club who sourced the car for us

Finished in original colours of Inca Yellow with grey and black interior, and the oh so usually messed up "deck chair seating' still in tact, with original carpets all round and everything working just a it did when delivered new (to an executive of ICI who gave it to his wife and kept it even after he had retired from work)

3 other owners in total and when we took her over, as you would expect we changed tyres, fuel lines, brake lines, fuel filters, the complete ignition system (coil, HT leads, distributor cap, condensor, points plugs etc) as well as all belts and hoses too

Subsequently we have colour tuned the carburettors and of course changed oil and filters on a regular basis

She has never missed a beat and we found it rather charming to find a GT with no Webasto sunroof spoiling the roof line, nor adding wind noise either

The overdrive works seamlessly and overall performance is most satisfactory

MiniLite wheels, tinted glass and MotoLita steering wheel finish off the complete ensemble

We love it and so will the next owner

As they say, go find another as good as this, on the button and ready to go
