1975 Jensen Interceptor

Story and History

1975 Jensen Interceptor III - nut & bolt restoration just completed

This is the most exceptional Interceptor we have yet come across

A two year restoration has just been completed and the detail to which this work has been taken is almost beyond belief - even the shell, when stripped, was sent to the Midlands to be acid dipped before being immediately etch primed

All chroming was entrusted to the company probably considered the best in the country, as no expense has been spared

All parts have been provided by the best of Jensen specialist suppliers and the works undertaken by reputable companies in the north of England

7 of the finest quality hides have been sourced for the re-trimmed interior, which included the headlining and the rear parcel shelf

The 7212cc engine has been completely rebuilt with aluminium heads and inlet manifold, free flow exhaust manifolds, new carburettor and upgraded air conditioning compressor

New 17" wheels have been supplied and this gives room for larger discs with 4 pot calipers so not only does this Jensen accelerate faster than normal Interceptors it also stops and handles better too

In fact there is too much to list - and anyway the results speak for themselves, as the photo's evidence

Prior to the restoration this vehicle had been owned by an Industrialist for the entirety of its' life so now only 2 owners since new and we have been advised that the recorded mileage of 66.000 prior to the restoration is considered as being correct

There was a time when Interceptor values were in the doldrums - now deservedly they are on the move and should continue to climb to an appropriate level
