1974 Jaguar XJ12L Series II - 7.700 miles ONLY
An absolutely amazing and original example of these wonderfully capable cars - there are no modifications to the original specification and the vehicle has obviously been cherished by it's 2 owners since new
She comes with a complete history, which was kept together with intricate notes of phone calls made and letters sent by her first keeper
He also kept the original supply invoice from James Windsor & Sons from September 1974 amounting to 5.649:20 and he entrusted them with the first Free 1.000 miles Service (not required until August 1977 at 1.011 miles!!!) and continued to use them well ino the 1990's
There is every MoT Certificate during his tenure too, each with a request to return to him the old Certificate and to drive gently on the yet to be fully bedded in brake pads - oh, also to check the Anti Freeze / Water ratio
At the time of sale to the second owner ( 2006 ) the total mileage was 4.100 the last service having been carried out for the first owner in April 2005
Supplied with many nice extras at the point of her original delivery to include Radio / 8 track stereo with 4 speakers & electric aerial, lightly tinted glass, underseal, driver and passenger door mirrors (Paddy Hopkirk originals too!!), chrome pressed wheels, chrome waistrail strip to body and rear seat belts
We have just driven her down from Holyhead to London in a single fuss free journey - cruising happily at 85mph with vicious acceleration available at the prod of the pedal
A rare car today, especially in this condition and supreme value compared to a similar V12 E Type available currently, with a similar mileage, but at an extra 100.000 !!!
