1986 Mini Mayfair - Restored Condition
Another cute Mini perfect for the spring and summer months ahead!
Over the past decade this spirited little Mini has had a variety of restorative work carried out that has lead to where it is today.. A fabulous car that runs, looks and sounds brilliant!
In 2008 over £6000 was spent on a new rear sub frame, front and rear windows, all door handles inside & out, front & rear bumpers, wheel arches, new chrome petrol cap, new wheels, all ball joints, braking system, exhaust system, back lighting, chrome surround for headlamps, clear indicator lenses, new grill & surround, all door and window seals, black leather seats with red piping front and rear, new headlining, sun visors, dash board, stereo etc.
More recently in July 2018 she was completely resprayed in addition to receiving a new front sub frame, brake master cylinder, distributor cap, coil and leads as well as our usual service work - fluids, filters, plugs, points etc etc.
After all the above the mileage is currently a very moderate 58,780.
With these cars it is the individuality of each that makes them stand alone as desirable classics and the add on's this example has really do tie it together nicely.
The stainless steel exhaust makes a fantastic noise, the alloy door furnishings, wooden fascia and piped leather make the interior a particularly smart one as well as the choice of two steering wheels (we fitted the second - in the last picture - as its a little bigger and makes maneuvering easier), and the fresh paint looks 2 feet deep whilst popping out with even a suggestion of sun on it!
A plumb example!
