1973 Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow
This wonderful example has come to us from the chap who purchased our 18.000 mile Corniche II FHC
Now having the Corniche is the motor house the Shadow is surplus to his requirements and we are very happy to offer this for sale for there can't be many in as good a condition as this
There is a huge history folder covering the entire life span of the Shadow and confirming that she has been truly cossetted throughout her existence
Like many classic cars the majority of use was during the first few years of her life - by September 1979 she had covered 67.949 miles with servicing by main agents Mann Egerton who replaced the speedometer, as this was working in an inconsistent manner
There was also a complaint of a knocking noise on the engine and in November 1979 Mann Egerton removed and replaced this unit since when she has only covered a further 46.000 miles
Everything works beautifully and within the last 5 years, since the last owner took her over, she has had a thorough going over including a bare metal repaint
Everything gleams, all switches and operations feel just as they would have done when new and on the road the engine and drive train are near silent ( to be expected on an engine with less than 50.000 miles )
Talking of silent, the level of wind noise is one of the lowest we have come across in an older Rolls-Royce or Bentley too
She runs on the correct and more expensive Avon radial tyres and is simply a dream of a car
There may be many for sale at less than 10.000 - but the day of decent Shadow's for no money is far behind us now
An example for someone who understands
