1971 Range Rover Classic 'A' Chassis series LHD & Air Conditioning

A real treat which has come to us through our friends at Kidston SA in Switzerland - many thanks here to Simon

An extremely rare 'A' chassis series version in left hand drive and also with period fitted air conditioning - beautifully done with integral vents to the fascia and supplementary instruments re-sited on the centre console

Offered in outstanding restored condition this super early example was first registered in Turin in 1972

Famed collector Vincenzo Fulginiti kept the car in Sestriere for his skiing breaks and later Edoardo Casolari had the Range Rover before selling her to the last owner in 2009 - another famed Italian entrepreneur and fastidious collector of important classic cars

He entrusted her to his regular restoration specialist to undertake a frame off restoration, Mario Galbiati - he had previously been in the employ of renowned Italian Coachbuilder's, Zagato and had hand built many of the Zagato specials of the 1960's

After his time at Zagato he had set up his own shop and continued building his enviable reputation, restoring many important cars, including special restoration commissions for the actual Alfa Romeo Museum

After the restoration she has been used for various outings, mainly holiday pursuits and the odd trip back up into the mountains of Zermatt for skiing

Having been subject to a beautiful restoration and previously spending all it's life in Italy, the vehicle is mechanically on the button and ready to use, having been freshly undersealed and checked over in our workshops.

This vehicle is prepared as ever for it's next adventure in Europe (equally at home and as versatile anywhere else of course) - perfect for a winter's skiing trip in the Alps, or perhaps a cross continent trip to Marbella if the cold weather isn't ones proverbial cup of tea.
