1971 Citroen Mehari - Rebuilt
"Completely brilliant" - to quote Rik from the Youngs Ones
These rugged little motor cars, made by Citroen and based upon their Dyane model, were widely used for military purposes, having a 2 cylinder, 602cc engine and weighing in at only 550kgs
Driven through the front wheels via a 4 speed manual gearbox (fascia change) and this example most unusually has the 4 seater option and right hand drive (this was a conversion) - is in tip-top nick and brings a smile to your face at every moment
The history folder contains instruction manuals and operation procedures together with lots of Mehari Club spares brochures
A complete rebuild has been undertaken in recent times and she was registered in the UK in 2003 - DVLA has registered this vehicle as a Citroen Mehari manufactured in 1971 - and remains in fantastic condition with all of the bits-n-bobs
ABS thermoplastic roof panels, vinyl roof panels (you could say hard and soft tops!!), vinyl side panels, ABS thermoplastic doors, removable roll cage & hood frame (these shown fitted in the pictures), Grundig radio, twin speakers, chequer plate flooring, front seat belts, removable rear seats, tow bar (not actually sure this could really tow anything but it looks the part anyhow), galvanized chassis, stainless steel fasteners and etc
She starts on the button, is immaculate on top and underneath, and in this wonderful colour, Vert Tibesti, attracts as much attention as any 7.0 Cobra we've ever had
Oodles of fun awaits
