2009 Land Rover Defender 90 - 35,000 miles ONLY
Here we do tend to have a bias toward the English manufacturer; anything iconic takes our fancy, and this wonderful 2009 Land Rover Defender 90 is no exception.
2 years ago, at the end of 2015, Land Rover announced the end of 67 years for production of one of the most legendary four-wheel drive motors every conceived.
Utilitarian and simple in design this car was used by military forces around the world. Even our Atlantic siblings – the U.S – adopted the Defender during the Gulf war favoring it to their less capable 'Humvee'.
Our example is the most special and unusual single cab, low mileage L90, the 90 referring of course to the wheelbase length, coming in at 93 – inches long. Hence being the shorter of the Defenders.
A perfect spec to use on the Country Estate, the Holiday Home or even for use fashionably in town - she does create quite a stir in Knightsbridge, even around all of those modern Lamborghini's & Keonigsegg's
In superb condition and will nice accessories she cuts a dash in modern traffic in the wonderful 1950's Pastel Shade Green & Cream
The Soft Top was fitted by the last owner, as well as the Lamp Guards, rear seats and seat covers.
With a manual gearbox and the 2.4 litre diesel see pulls away nicely and with room on the back for either passengers, logs or Hermes carrier bags she is the ideal Stealth utility vehicle.
Excitingly enough, 2019 should see Jaguar Land-Rover bring back the Defender – to many enthusiasts excitement. Although, rumor has it whilst an early version has been tested in the desert of Utah, it got stuck, and an old faithful Defender like ours came to its rescue - funny that!
