1969 Lamborghini Islero S - as used by Sir Roger Moore in "The Man Who Haunted Himself"
A most elegant design and delightfully understated for Lamborghini at this time
Only 5 were produced to Sprint specification (350 bhp & 161 mph claimed) in RHD, 2 for Australia and 3 for the UK, one of which has subsequently been written off - by my reckoning that leaves 4 left, quite rare then it seems
A known history of this vehicle since new is rather nice and more so as it was used by Sir Roger Moore in the film 'The Man Who Haunted Himself' - his best piece of work in his own words
The history file includes, DVD, film book and original poster as well as a hard back book containing features from the film and the Islero as she is now
Sir Rog' has kindly signed the drivers sun visor and the original instruction booklet and there is also a recent picture, mounted and framed, again kindly signed by him, where he was re-united with the Islero in 2009
The original bill of sale is interesting in as much as it confirms that the factory fitted air conditioning cost 25% more than the Sprint Specification Engine upgrade (£250 Air / £200 Sprint Engine - fortunately the original owner specified both!!!)
Restored to within an inch of her life by Gantspeed Engineering for which there are not only copy receipts but also a full photographic record too
Barely used since, she was serviced by Colin Clarke Engineering last year and is currently with him now for her most recent service
Utter perfection, and such style too..............
