1965 Mercedes Benz 230 SL - restored condition
A quite delightful example which we have been driving around town for the past few days - can't keep the smile off our faces
Crisply finished in vanilla white with black hard and soft tops together with black hide to the interior too
She has front seat headrests, original Becker europa radio, the third seat option and unusually Michelin XWX tyres, which change her stance somewhat, and make the appearance much more sporting
She has had only six owners since new, the first until 1973, at 67.000 miles, the second until 1986 at 69.000 miles
The third undertook a major restoration, taking two years to complete, during the mid 1990's, and now with 89.000 miles she remains in "mint" condition
The Hard Top is in original unrestored condition
All original features have been retained (correct heavy twill carpets etc), she was a UK supplied RHD car, fitted refreshingly with the 4 speed manual transmission, giving more spirited performance - hence the last owner had her FIA certified in 2008
A better example will, truly, be hard to find
