1965 Jaguar MKII 3.8 - JD Classics restoration & upgrades
The Heritage certificate for this supreme example indicates that manufacture was in late 1964 and first registration early 1965
She remains to original specification, colours, trim etc save for the many JD Classics upgrades, as listed below and is in completely immaculate condition
Prior to JD's acquisition in 2008 the registration certificate indicates only 4 previous owners and subsequent to JD's purchase they undertook a complete overhaul
The engine remains to normal 3.8 litre specification with concentration on useful mid range performance mated to JD ignition, engine cooling, 5 speed manual gear box, sports suspension, sports braking system, rack and pinion power steering, 16" competition stainless steel wire wheels, sports front seats, heated front & rear windscreen, alternator replacement of dynamo, colour coded inertia reel front & rear seat belts, integrated parking sensors front & rear, sports exhaust, limited slip differential, Becker Mexico sound system with blue tooth for telephone & music integration plus high grade speakers all round & disc stacker to boot
I think that covers it all, but as you can tell everything was done, and to the greatest detail so I've probably left out some things here and there
For sure the driving experience is sensational and really you're driving something which looks like it's from 1965 but actually works like something far, far younger
The starting from cold or hot is instantaneous and the heated screens are a real boon too for someone thinking about everyday usage - of which this is eminently capable
Just 5.000 miles have been covered since completion of the restoration so she is fully run in now and all niggles will have been ironed out - should there have been any
In our eyes this must be one of the very best MKII 3.8's in existence anywhere and was previously for sale by JD at £137.500 so we are happy to offer her for the next lucky owner at a reduced rate to £127.500
