1993 BMW 850CSi - LHD & 30.000 miles only

We have always liked the 850 shape and have owned both 840 & 850 versions, although previously never the top of the range 850CSi, as here

What a revelation - so often the perception of brilliance is met with a reality check upon first actual acquaintance. Fortunately with this piece of BMW brilliance, the reality is even better than the expectation

Even though 23 years old, we can not only balance a pound coin on the engine whilst running, we can also start the engine without disturbing the balanced pound coin.......

The balance and poise, of course, continue throughout the extended rev range and the performance offered is astonishing

4 wheel steering, uprated suspension, 6 speed manual gearbox and the famed S70 version of the V12 engine, now at 5.6 litres pushing out 375Bhp ensure this top of the range BMW can keep up, and ahead of, most other sports cars of the period - and in such a civilized manner too

More over, and much to our approval, there are no visual clues to this enhanced performance, save for the discreet boot badge, revised exhaust pipes, a badge to the engine & gear lever and M stitching to the leather steering wheel

Our car has only 2 owners since new - firstly an Italian industrialist bought it new for his wife, kept in Monaco from where it was purchased by the second owner, who brought her back to the UK (the car, not the industrialists' wife)

A complete BMW service history accompanies the paperwork, with invoices as well as stamps in the service voucher booklet

In immaculate condition and always kept in dehumidified storage, along with several other lovely cars, little use has ensured the mileage is still under 48.000 Kms (30.000 miles)

A rare opportunity (only 1510 were ever made between 1992 - 1996) and with such a wonderful specification and originality (even the engine bay still carries the original protective wax coating) this is almost a must for the serious car enthusiast
