1992 Range Rover Vogue LSE 570HSi by Overfinch LHD
This exceptional example is UK registered although originally supplied into Switzerland where she has spent most of her life and from where she had her Overfinch conversion commissioned
Her first owner surrendered her to the second owner when only a year or so old and she has spent until 2009 in this ownership, sharing garage space with many special motor cars (Lancia D50 / Aurelia Spyder / R Type Continental etc etc - you get the picture)
We supplied her again last year to a chap, from this fair Isle, who has chosen to live on a large estate in the South of France - usually prefering to use one of his two (!!!) helcopters the Overfinch was something he could not ignore - we understand this.....
Even though the Overfinch has now travelled 12.000 kms since our restoration he finds he is getting more use from the "choppers" and so the Overfinch had to sadly go
Getting back to the technical stuff this, the forerunner of Supercharged Range Rovers and Turbo S Cayennes etc was specified in 1993 with the full HSi specification giving it the 5.7 litre HSi performance engine including free flow manifolds and cooling pack together with the upgraded HD gearbox and brakes to match, full stainless exhaust system, quick ratio steering rack, sports suspension pack, 7 x 16.5 Cyclone alloy wheels and uprated Pirelli tyres too
The instrumentation was replaced by Overfinch with their "Ferrari" style gauges
When we originally purchased her we collected her from the famous workshops of Jim Stokes, who had partially dismantled her for a complete rebuild
We took this over and completed the works, returning her to 'as new' condition
We stripped off her Plymouth Blue paint and replaced, as you can see, with Mosswood Green which was only available on the Vogue LSE
The interior has been refurbished too with much new leather let into the existing, where appropriate, together with a new headlining in beige as opposed to the drab grey and a complete new stereo, navigation, i.pod and bluetooth by Becker with high quality speakers to match
There is also an expensive set of sheep skin seat covers too
Mechanically we have completely rebuilt the engine, overhauled the suspension, fitted a new radiator, seat motors, ABS pump & brakes and air conditioning system
She runs like a dream and provides great practicality with enormous ground covering potential
An exceptional example of a very special edition of this iconic LSE by Overfinch in as new condition and one of what can be only a very few made in LHD
