1964 VW Beetle 1200 - 64.000 miles only

A wonderful example finished in super colours and in absolutely fabulous condition

Many cars with extremely low mileage manage this through years of storage before re-commissioning - this is not the case here, for this little gem has been regularly run and maintained all the way through 50 years of life on the road, albeit sometimes usage has been minimal

The first owner, a lady from Surrey, kept her for 38 years, until 2002, at which point just 59.000 miles had been covered

She was obviously a very meticulous woman, for the history file is absolutely bulging with invoice after invoice, evidencing the continuous service and maintenance works undertaken on her car - nice to say that these were mainly by her local, Official VW Agents

She also ensured the original service voucher booklet, instruction manual and dealer listing are within the history folder too

It has to be said, that the way she spoiled her car has stood it in great stead, for on the road she retains impeccable manners and visually she is in tip-top condition

Some panels have been repaired over the years and others are still virginal with the paint now so thin that 'rub throughs' are appearing - quite delightful

Just another 5.000 miles have been added since 2002 where additional maintenance has included the fitment of seat belts front and rear - a sensible upgrade

What is clear, is that since the first lady owner, the high level of care and maintenance has not waned, ensuring the car has remained in simply outstanding condition and therefore making this extremely low mileage Beetle possibly unique - we certainly have never come across another like this
