1956 Jaguar XK140 FHC - Previous Chassis Off Restoration
One of my great chums runs one of these as his "everyday classic" and has had a very happy time, both with local running around through to International Rallies and events
Super looks matched with extremely good performance, a comfortable interior and bullet proof reliability - no wonder Jaguar managed to dominate their market place in period
This example, one of only 843 RHD, has previously been completely restored (body off - photographic records within the history file) and still presents in superb condition, the last owner having bought her in 1992, just after the restoration was finished
Many nice features to be found as you look more closely - aluminium expansion tank and kenlowe fan to ensure cool running at all times, C Type Head, brake drums painted red (sounds awful but actually looks quite OK) overdrive and a superb colour combination finished off with a nice set of chrome wire wheels
It is clear the last and long term owner enjoyed his time with her as she not only runs sweetly but looks marvelous too
