1954 Jaguar XK120 DHC - Concours condition
With just three owners since 1978 this fantastic example has obviously been well looked after
Not much is known of her prior to this to be fair but with an unbroken track record for the last 35 years we are comfortable that this is a truly excellent motor car
From 1978 until 1993 she lived her in Kensington and then when ownership was transferred she moved all the way to.........Knightsbridge!!! The journey to her new home would have taken under 5 minutes
Ten years later and she passed into her most recent owners hand - this time a longer journey was to follow as the owner was from Jersey, although he kept her in professional storage in Petersfield
Most recently over 5.000 has been spent keeping her in tip top shape and she both presents and drives most beautifully
She has of course been seen on the Concours field, most notably at the 1991 Louis Vuitton Concours d'Elegance held at the Hurlingham Club Fulham
Should this event still be held she would, I'm sure, be just as eligible today
The DHC is our favourite version of the XK120, being rare and eminently practical with a proper hood and wind up side windows making touring on the Continent a supreme pleasure even in the most adverse weather conditions, more especially when presented in such a wonderful colour combination
