Manual Gears - 1 of only 14 - Coachwork by HJ Mulliner £225.0001958 Bentley S1 Continental Fastback
A wonderful car and a very late S1 benfitting from the unusual, very elegant slightly flared wheel arches and a manual gearbox
Supplied to a collector after returning from the United States in the late nineteen nineties she was wonderfully restored
Included in the upgrades were air conditioning and seat belts whilst more recently we have fitted a discreet modern stereo system with superb speakers
We have serviced and titivated this car over the last years and she really does drive absolutely wonderfully - much better than most examples and her coachwork, interior trim and wood work are all in fantastic condition
All works have been sympathetically carried out ensuring that she appears to original specification in all arears.
Indeed she still wears her original colour scheme (Tudor Grey with Special Grey Leather Piped Black), picnic tables and fascia mounted altimeter, as supplied to the factory by the original owner
The registration number she wears is that with which she was originally issued too
She won the Charles Palmer Trophy at the RREC Scottish Section in 2005 shortly after supplying her to the then owner earlier that year - as he said "after a long search"
An independant test and report was carried out in 2006 shortly after the last owner bought her - the conclusion reads as follows "A proper car in excellent usable condition, no major worries or headaches due. Nicely presented, the works done are to a high standard."
A truly superb example, exceedingly rare to this specification and excellent value against a Manual 'R' Type Continental
