A remarkable special version produced by AC Cars Ltd with a the factory stage III engine upgrade giving 350HP
These special varsions were fitted with 2 wipers, as opposed to the 3 of the normal MKIV and the Short Nose together with 15" Halibrand Wheels to reflect better the look of the MKIII Cobra produced at the end of Cobra production in the 1960's
Inside the centre console and heater controls, together with the leather trim around the cockpit edge, inertia reel seat belts and side intrusion bars to the doors were all deleted and a fascia panel and instrumentation akin to the MKIII were again installed
Finished off with the 3 point safetly hoop and Le Mans type Filler Cap
This example has wind wings / bonnet scoop / and mohair tonneau cover
She was built in 1991 and the original owner kept her, unused and professionally stored until purchase by her second owner in March 2006 - at this point she had covered a total of 46 Miles!!!
He had her lightly recommissioned for road use by Thunder Road (including new tyres despite low miles because of ageing) and the first MoT was issued in the same month at 52 Miles
Subsequently all works have been entrusted to Thunder Road including various upgrades to include sand blasted Powered by Ford Rocker Covers & Cobra Air Cleaner / Special Pulley & Water Pump / Anti Roll Bar Kit with Rose Jointed Suspension / Willans 4 point safety harnesses for driver and passenger
She has been serviced every year at Thunder Road and she drives impeccably
On one occassion she has been exhibited at the Annual AC Owners Club National Concours. This was held at Canons Ashby in July 2007 when approx. 2.500 miles had been covered
She won, of course, and the Rossette and First Prize Watch accompany her history file
