1962 Jaguar E Type 3.8 roadster - fully restored with many upgrades
We do love our E Types and this one is of the very best we have ever offered for sale
Finished in a fabulous metallic black, almost metal flake, with a black mohair hood, 5.5 inch stainless steel wire wheels and a gorgeous dark red interior, physically she is one smart girl
Her under pinnings are similarly to the highest standards
Stripped to a bare shell she was bolted together with many seriously good upgrades, of which many are listed here
The aforementioned 5.5 inch stainless steel wire wheels
Sports suspension & braking system
Period radio with modern internals to provide bluetooth capability for phone and music
Aluminium header tank and radiator with an electrically operated cooling fan
5 speed manual gear box
Fuel injected engine with an engine management system, she now boasts a much more consistent power delivery with higher power output (300 bhp) and more mid range power too
She has been run-in now with 800 miles covered and on the road she is an absolute delight, with a sonorous engine note and a real bellow from the exhaust when the engine spins up to the higher rev range
Handling is really sharp and you could almost stop on a sixpence when the up-rated brakes are called upon
All in all, a serious bit of kit whether being used on a Concours field, on a track day or for a Continental tour with chums
